2025 International Championship of High School A Capella West Semifinal

10 high schools compete to go to the national finals. Will one singer in a group go rogue and start performing an unauthorized mash-up when she finds the set list too boring and the group leader too controlling? You’ll have to be there to find out.

Farewell to the giant pine at Library Park
👋 The 95-year-old pine tree was removed on Monday after being deemed unsalvageable due to decay and infestation.
105 closures continue this week
🛣️ Though the overnight construction closures happen further east than our little stretch of the 105, keep an eye out for delays and alternative routes over the next few weeks.

Who are you and why are you doing this?
We’re Sam and Angie Greenspan, El Segundo residents and since 2016 and major El Segundo boosters ever since.
We also believed we were the right people to give this town its first newsletter.
Angie’s a realtor who works here in town and all over L.A. — so she’s plugged in to everything happening and has been a de facto source for local event info for years. Sam’s a writer and works in email marketing.
