Hello, Gundo 👋 

May is always a packed month on the calendar and we’re already starting off strong with the Hometown Fair and so much more.

As you’ll see throughout the newsletter, there are quite a few local bars and restaurants planning Cinco de Mayo specials all weekend.

We suspect more will pop up over the next few days, and when they do, we’ll keep you posted on our Hello Gundo Instagram.

A new wellness studio is coming soon
Salt Rock Wellness is coming to El Segundo. They feature halotherapy (which is dry salt therapy) along with pilates, yoga, and sound healing. No location announced yet, but they announced it will be near coffee and Mexican food. So that describes pretty much every commercial block in town.

Who are you and why are you doing this?

We’re Sam and Angie Greenspan, El Segundo residents and since 2016 and major El Segundo boosters ever since.

We also believed we were the right people to give this town its first newsletter.

Angie’s a realtor who works here in town and all over L.A. — so she’s plugged in to everything happening and has been a de facto source for local event info for years. Sam’s a writer and works in email marketing.
