It’s Halloween in El Segundo, and this town does not take that lightly.

We’ve got parties and events galore over these next few days.

And then we move on to the holidays. But that’s next week’s problem. For now, enjoy a true Gundo-style Halloween.

Sadly, it appears a modern El Segundo landmark just vanished. South Bay Customs posted “Thanks for the memories” on Instagram earlier this week, along with “2007-2025.” We don’t have any more details than that.

Who are you and why are you doing this?

We’re Sam and Angie Greenspan, El Segundo residents and since 2016 and major El Segundo boosters ever since.

We also believed we were the right people to give this town its first newsletter.

Angie’s a realtor who works here in town and all over L.A. — so she’s plugged in to everything happening and has been a de facto source for local event info for years. Sam’s a writer and works in email marketing.
