Hello, Gundo 👋 

Schools are out tomorrow and it’s definitely summer in El Segundo.

Plus, it’s Father’s Day — which means plenty of activities, including the first summer concert in Library Park.

As always, if and when new events pop up or any details change, we’ll share them on the Hello Gundo Instagram.

Gundo Scoop

The Beach Shuttle starts again on Monday
The Summer Beach Shuttle is back, starting Monday, June 16th and running through August 23rd. It’s free with a Rec ID. The shuttle runs from 11 am to 4:30 pm on a loop.

CinemaWest has rolled out its rewards program
El Segundo’s new movie theater, CinemaWest, just opened up their rewards program. If you plan to go to the movies even somewhat regularly it’s a really good deal.

Spotted in town: A new smoke shop
There’s a coming soon sign for a new smoke shop at 208 W. Grand (that’s between Richmond and Virginia).

Who are you and why are you doing this?

We’re Sam and Angie Greenspan, El Segundo residents and since 2016 and major El Segundo boosters ever since.

We also believed we were the right people to give this town its first newsletter.

Angie’s a realtor who works here in town and all over L.A. — so she’s plugged in to everything happening and has been a de facto source for local event info for years. Sam’s a writer and works in email marketing.
