Hello, Gundo 👋 

This is one of those weeks where the sheer variety of events makes you think we’re a much bigger town than we actually are.

There are wellness events. Movie nights. Paint and sips. Trivia and live music. Even a giant annual yard sale and a tour through El Segundo’s history.

El Segundo Library’s summer reading program is here
Kids and adults can sign up to track reading and earn badges and rewards.

The Beach Shuttle is rolling
In case you missed this, the beach shuttle started up on Monday. It’s running through August 23rd and free with a Rec ID. The shuttle runs from 11 am to 4:30 pm on a loop.

ESPD Community Police Academy applications are open
If you’re interested, the academy runs from September through November.

Who are you and why are you doing this?

We’re Sam and Angie Greenspan, El Segundo residents and since 2016 and major El Segundo boosters ever since.

We also believed we were the right people to give this town its first newsletter.

Angie’s a realtor who works here in town and all over L.A. — so she’s plugged in to everything happening and has been a de facto source for local event info for years. Sam’s a writer and works in email marketing.
