Hello, Gundo 👋 

LeBron James is close to coming back after being sidelined with sciatica — a common ailment for people his and our age — and has been assigned to our very own South Bay Lakers to rehab.

He’s been practicing with the team. But will he play in their game here in town on Sunday? No one’s saying for sure yet… but there’s a chance.

Beyond LeBron Returns From Sciatica Watch 2025, there’s still plenty to do around El Segundo this week and weekend — in particular, it seems like there are a ton of free events if you’re looking for something to do.

The days of late night smash burgers in Two Guns are over… Spread! Please has migrated about two blocks north to hermit crab inside Big Mike’s at night. They’re still serving the same great smash burgers and fries, Wed-Sun 4-10 PM.

Who are you and why are you doing this?

We’re Sam and Angie Greenspan, El Segundo residents and since 2016 and major El Segundo boosters ever since.

We also believed we were the right people to give this town its first newsletter.

Angie’s a realtor who works here in town and all over L.A. — so she’s plugged in to everything happening and has been a de facto source for local event info for years. Sam’s a writer and works in email marketing.
