As summer winds down we find a slower week of events here in town — but still plenty to do!

There’s the annual Main Street Car Show on Saturday, a preview event at California Smash, and plenty of free family events, live music, and so much more.

Also, check out all the new food specials we’ve added this week, including kids eat free at Tender Greens all month and a rare BOGO event at Kreation this weekend.

As always, if and when new events pop up or any details change, we’ll share them on the Hello Gundo Instagram.

Ghost Sando Shop is now open
El Segundo’s newest restaurant, Ghost Sando Shop, opened on Friday. It’s in Chargers Commons, near Raising Cane’s and Taco Masa. The sandwiches look both good and thick. (Or perhaps spelled “thicc,” in the parlance of our times.)

A new coworking space is coming to town
Industrious is a coworking space chain that’s opening its new location in town next month. It’s at 2100 E. Grand, which is just off Continental Blvd.

Who are you and why are you doing this?

We’re Sam and Angie Greenspan, El Segundo residents and since 2016 and major El Segundo boosters ever since.

We also believed we were the right people to give this town its first newsletter.

Angie’s a realtor who works here in town and all over L.A. — so she’s plugged in to everything happening and has been a de facto source for local event info for years. Sam’s a writer and works in email marketing.
