Hello, Gundo 👋 

First and most important, a huge thank you to all of El Segundo’s veterans — and to the active-duty service members and families who stand behind them.

After the madness of Halloween, things have slowed down a bit — but there’s still (as always) so much to do seven days a week.

The South Bay Lakers are back in action, there are free classes and activities all over, and we’ve got a nice slate of fall-themed events to keep you as busy as you want to be.

As always, if and when new events pop up or any details change, we’ll share them on the Hello Gundo Instagram.

The 3rd Annual Puzzle Hunt begins
El Segundo’s 3rd annual Puzzle Hunt begins on Saturday, November 8th. Sign up, get the puzzles, and solve them — they’ll lead you to clues all over town. Solve them all and enter to win a prize.

Toys for Tots is back
The ESPD is partnering with the U.S. Marine Corps for their annual Toys for Tots drive. From now through December 10th you can drop off donations at the ESPD lobby or Mattel headquarters holiday tent.

Who are you and why are you doing this?

We’re Sam and Angie Greenspan, El Segundo residents and since 2016 and major El Segundo boosters ever since.

We also believed we were the right people to give this town its first newsletter.

Angie’s a realtor who works here in town and all over L.A. — so she’s plugged in to everything happening and has been a de facto source for local event info for years. Sam’s a writer and works in email marketing.
