Welcome to the time of year where it’s almost but not quite summer! Need something to do during this in-between time? We’ve got more than 60 events in town to share with you this week.

Gundo Scoop

ESHS was featured on Saturday Night Live
If there’s a high school out there that’s used in more establishing shots, I’d like to see it. The facade of ESHS made a cameo on SNL this week for a Matt Damon sketch.

Rec Park repairs are in the home stretch (maybe)
The city just posted an update on their Rec Park repairs, which have been going on since early March. Seems like things are coming along pretty well, with just work on various courts to go. They’re scheduled to wrap up in mid June.

Summer Camp Highlights

Who are you and why are you doing this?

We’re Sam and Angie Greenspan, El Segundo residents and since 2016 and major El Segundo boosters ever since.

We also believed we were the right people to give this town its first newsletter.

Angie’s a realtor who works here in town and all over L.A. — so she’s plugged in to everything happening and has been a de facto source for local event info for years. Sam’s a writer and works in email marketing.
