The Gundo Events Calender Is Filling Up Again

Hello, Gundo 👋 

As we get into 2026, the El Segundo calendar is now shaking off its slow, leisurely holiday pace — and we’re back to lots of events to choose from every day.

This week there’s a new social club in town, a role playing games event, a book “tasting,” and the usual slate of live music and more.

As always, if and when new events pop up or any details change, we’ll share them on the Hello Gundo Instagram.

• Evening Book Discussion Group - 1/28 at the library. This month’s book is The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. Pick up your copy at the reference desk and join the discussion at the end of the month.

• A Night of UPA: Mid-Century Modern Animation Classics + Panel Discussion - 1/15 at Old Town Music Hall. A special night at our favorite local theater. Tickets must be reserved through Eventbrite and are not available on Old Town Music Hall’s website.

• Upcoming Old Town Music Hall movies and events - Saturdays and Sundays. Many of these, especially popular movies, will sell out.

Who are you and why are you doing this?

We’re Sam and Angie Greenspan, El Segundo residents and since 2016 and major El Segundo boosters ever since.

We also believed we were the right people to give this town its first newsletter.

Angie’s a realtor who works here in town and all over L.A. — so she’s plugged in to everything happening and has been a de facto source for local event info for years. Sam’s a writer and works in email marketing.
