A great weekend of events is headed your way again. Mattel brings their Hot Wheels Legends Tour home on Saturday. Plus there’s live music, meetups, workshops, community events, and Oktoberfest celebrations everywhere you look.

Spotted: New restaurant coming to Grand
A sign has gone up for Everything Noodles, taking over the spot on Grand where Ali’i was (and Beach Mex before that).

La Paz is raising money after a car crashed through their restaurant
La Paz has been shut down for more than a week now after a car crashed through their restaurant. They have a GoFundMe now to help support their staff and families while they rebuild.

A surf park is coming to El Segundo
The vacant area off Nash Street (near the Chargers facilities) has been purchased to create a new surf park. However, development will likely take quite some time.

It’s bulky item pickup week
From Monday, October 6th, through Thursday, October 9th, EDCO will pick up bulky items curbside during regularly scheduled trash collection times.

Who are you and why are you doing this?

We’re Sam and Angie Greenspan, El Segundo residents and since 2016 and major El Segundo boosters ever since.

We also believed we were the right people to give this town its first newsletter.

Angie’s a realtor who works here in town and all over L.A. — so she’s plugged in to everything happening and has been a de facto source for local event info for years. Sam’s a writer and works in email marketing.
