Gundo Scoop

Construction is starting in two spots next week
The Public Works Department is repairing sidewalks, curbs, and gutters next week. You can see the repair locations at the link above (several westside spots south of Palm, and some spots along Mariposa, among others). Keep an eye out for street closures.

Here’s a little info on what’s replacing Two Guns
As the rumors have been flying, here’s what we know. Neil Cadman, building manager and friend of Hello Gundo, said on Facebook earlier this week that the business is “pizza, but it is a new concept… [that] has no resemblance to Slice and Pint.” We’ll likely get the word soon.

Everything Noodle is very close to opening
From what we’re hearing, Everything Noodle (the new restaurant on Grand, where Ali’i used to be) should be soft opening any day now. If you want a sneak preview, their menu is posted on Toast (see link above).

El Segundo Brewing Company is starting a new dart league
That’s right: A new dart league is coming to town. The season starts March 24th.

The Young Entrepreneurs Maker & Talent Fair is open for registration
Registrations run through February 28th, and the fair is Saturday, March 21st.

105 closures wrap up this week
The closures run through Friday, February 6th, if you’re driving at night.

We’re Sam and Angie Greenspan, El Segundo residents and since 2016 and major El Segundo boosters ever since.

We also believed we were the right people to give this town its first newsletter.

Angie’s a realtor who works here in town and all over L.A. — so she’s plugged in to everything happening and has been a de facto source for local event info for years. Sam’s a writer and works in email marketing.
